Scoliosis and Spine Center

In the spine surgery department, all degenerative, traumatic, congenital, tumoral, infectious, vascular and geriatric diseases of the spine and nerve structures are first evaluated, examined, medically treated and surgically treated when necessary. Our aim is to control the pain of our patients, to achieve a physiological state, to ensure a rapid return to the normal state and to prevent future problems. Achieving this goal with the least possible risk and complications is one of our main goals. In our spine surgery department, we work with a team spirit under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Azmi Hamzaoğlu. It is the primary goal of every member of our team to ensure maximum satisfaction of every patient who applies to our department at every stage until they leave our hospital. We work with great devotion to provide this service with the same quality 24/7 and around the clock.

Clearer images are obtained with less radiation. It enables 3-dimensional imaging of the whole body or a specific region from the front, back and side at the same time. The radiation received during this procedure is approximately 10 times less compared to standard methods. It can image every part of the body equally with the same quality. The good quality of the images obtained makes the decision about the type of treatment even more reliable. However, in standard methods with poor image quality, errors in determining the degree of spinal curvature can negatively affect the success of the surgical treatment.

If the patient does not have a surgical emergency, conservative treatment is recommended first. Conservative treatment includes the use of corset treatment, painkillers, muscle relaxants, anti-inflammatory drugs, adequate bed rest, physical therapy methods, etc. Surgical intervention may be considered in cases requiring emergency surgery and in the presence of complaints that do not resolve despite conservative treatment methods applied for a sufficient period of time.
